  1. Bridgeport is a much different place from what it was years ago. I consider the west side of Halsted to now be a different neighborhood. As far as I’m concerned, the best part of Bridgeport is just north of US Cellular Field, commonly known as Armour Square, a kind of neighborhood within a neighborhood.

      Thanks for your comment. I don’t think there is any “best part” of Bridgeport. It’s all the same great place, where millions have lived over the centuries. You seem to be sneering at “west of Halsted” today, but this is of course no different from history. 150 years ago, white residents sneered quite a bit at the new people off the boat from…Italy. The world keeps turning, America keeps drawing strength from its immigrants, and hate and fear burns itself out in the long run.
